Make Up Tips for Beautiful Skin

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By David Maillie General Make up Tips: Choose your eye make up to fit your lifestyle or the event you are attending. Wear less during the day and a little more for night time. Most people look better in softer, neutral colors, rather than dark, harsh tones. In general, lighter colors make the eyes appear larger, while darker colors can make them look small. Dark colors dont look good if you have fair skin. Eye shadow comes in both powder and cream formulas. Creams generally give a bolder color than powders. These must be applied carefully to avoid creasing. Apply foundation and powder first and then eye shadow. Select a foundation that matches your skin tone and is appropriate for your skin type. If you tend to break out, look for oil free, non comedogenic cosmetics. Apply moisturizer before your foundation for a smoother look. Use a sponge and apply foundation in a downward motion from the forehead down to the chin. If you have blemishes or dark circles, apply concealer after the foundation. Brush on loose powder to set. Apply powder using a large brush in the same downward motion. Choose a blusher that is suited to your skin tone. Choose lighter colors for a fair complexion and darker tones for dark or tanned skin. Place two fingers to the side of your nose. Start your application at the second finger and move up toward the ear line. Smile to show the apples of your cheeks and help with application. Lipstick should also match your skin tone. Use a lip moisturizer regularly to keep your lips smooth and moist. Apply foundation and powder before lip cosmetics. Line the lips with a pencil and then apply lipstick. Use a lip brush for best coverage. Blot the color with a tissue and re apply for best results. Mascara is available in a variety of formulas: waterproof, thickening and smudge proof. Choose a color that is appropriate for your skin type. Curl the lashes first and then begin to apply mascara. Look up and apply in an upward motion. Reapply is small amounts to avoid clumping. Dont pump the brush into the container, as this will break the bristles on the brush and shorten the life of this product. Caring for Make up Tips: Replace your cosmetics as products expire. Blush and powder can be kept for 2 years. Foundation, lipstick and eyeshadow should be replaced every year. Mascara has the shortest shelf life and should be thrown away after 2 months. Use brushes and sponges to apply make up. Wash these monthly with warm water and an antibacterial soap. Allow brushes to dry completely before you use them again. Store all make up in a cool, dry place. Keep cosmetics out of the sunlight and away from excessive heat or moisture. Proper care and application is important. This helps you not only look better, but helps prevent the skin from breaking out. Select high quality make up, especially if you are prone to acne. Natural products that dont contain a lot of chemicals, dyes and perfumes are best for all skin, but especially acne prone. The ingredients in many cosmetics irritate acne prone skin. Mineral make up is an excellent choice, as it contains no chemicals or any ingredients that can irritate the skin. Proper skin care is essential. Always remove your make up before going to bed. Wash the skin with a mild cleanser made for your skin type and moisturize the skin. Good skin care can help prevent cosmetics from clogging your pores. If this happens, consider an occasional facial peel to unclog the pores and treat acne. Estheticians Choice is an excellent peel. Originally only available through dermatologists or salons, it is now available for home use. Visit www.bestskinpeel.com for more information on this amazing product and to order. Florida DUI Arrests

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By Josh Riverside A lot of road accidents are caused by drunk driving, so firm action has been made against it in the form of legislation. Florida is one state that takes Driving Under the Influence (DUI) seriously. DUI in this state has severe consequences. Strict measures against it are enforced by the Florida Police and the Florida Department of Highway Security and Motor Vehicles (FDHSMV). According to the law Under the “Driving Under the Influence of Alcoholic Beverages, Chemical Substances or Controlled Substances” law, a DUI arrest can be made if the driver is detected to have at least 0.08% of alcohol present in his urine, blood sample, or breath. Immediate legal action is taken and the defendant has until ten business days to make a special plea in order to repossess his revoked license. If the driver fails to do this, his license will be confiscated for six months or longer, depending on the case. If the DUI caused minor accident or vehicular homicide, then there are longer procedures or even jail terms. Consequences A DUI arrest could mean loss of license, fine, community service, permanent criminal record, vehicle immobilization, higher insurance rates, and even imprisonment. DUI arrests could lead to jail terms that last from six months for first convictions and up to thirty years for more serious cases, depending on damage done to life and property. Procedures After Arrest It is best to consult with an attorney immediately upon your arrest, especially if you caused damage to life or property. A formal “Motor Vehicle Hearing” is requested within ten days after the license is revoked. You can file a special plea get your license back. The next stage is the arraignment, which is around thirty to sixty days from the date of your arrest. As the defendant, you are advised of your rights. The suppression hearing takes place between six weeks to three months after the pretrial conference. The trial itself is held within the six months after you submit the plea. There will usually be a jury of six members to hear the trial. The final stage will be conviction or acceptance of plea. Release of persons arrested for DUI is only given when the person is no longer under the influence, the person’s normal faculties are no longer impaired, and the person’s BAL levels are less than 0.05 or eight hours have elapsed since the time of arrest. Natural Ingredients for Beauty

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Teresa L. Natures The definition of natural or organic depends on your focus, but some define it as of, relating to, or derived from living organisms. The chemists version uses the word to designate carbon compounds, and that also plays into our daily lives. But what do most people think of when you say natural or organic? Another definition is simple, healthful, close to nature. Sure, that part fits too. Yet another definition is constituting an integral part of a whole. Mother Nature supplies nutrients from decaying matter be it plant, animal or even mineral. Infomercials continually tell us that health and beauty come through acquiring a new gadget, ingesting potent supplements, studying a fashionable book, or following the diet du jour. Many people are confused by the competing market claims and dont know who to believe. Frustration drives many to try the latest new and improved product, hoping for quick results. The bad news is that this rarely works. The good news is that if you take care of your body and soul, by using natural products which have no man-made chemicals, you can help yourself feel and look better. There are many natural bath and body shops, one located in Phoenix, Arizona: www.NaturesDNA.com, they sell anything from an all natural soap bar to more exquisite teas. * Teresa L. of Natures DNA, LLC does not give medical advice, diagnose diseases or suggest treatments. How To Book A Limousine For Your Wedding or Event

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Erica Tevis If you are like many brides, you are probably planning on hiring a limousine company to transport you to your wedding. Before you begin to interview companies, you should think about what type of car or limo you would like to rent, for how many hours and write down any questions you would like to ask the company. First, calculate how many people will be riding in the limousine, or how many in each limousine. There are several types of limousine cars, each seating a specific amount of people comfortably. These are some standard cars available, however, not all limousine companies will have the same cars available. Sedans (mostly Town cars but sometimes Mercedes or Specialty Sedans) 6 Passenger Limousine (Seats 4 comfortably) 8 Passenger Limousine (Seats 6 comfortably) 10 Passenger Limousine (Seats 8 comfortably) 12 Passenger Limousine (Seats 10 comfortably) 14-22 SUV Limousine (Typically a Navigator, Escalade, or Excursion) 18-20 Passenger Hummer Small Shuttle Bus (22-35 Passengers) Coach Bus (45-55 Passengers) Small Limo Bus (14-22 Passengers) Coach Limo Bus (28-35 Passengers) Classic Cars (Rolls Royce, etc).Once you know how many people will be in the limo, you then need to figure out how long you need it for. Most limousine companies charge by the hour, so it is important to decide how many hours you will need. Additionally, most companies have an hourly minimum on Friday and Saturday nights, so if you wedding falls on one of these days, and you only want a limo for one hour, you may still be charged for their minimum rate. Additionally, inquire about their overtime rates. If your photography session runs a bit over schedule, it is possible you will be charged additional fees at the time of service if the booking ran over it’s allotted time. When inquiring about packages, many limo companies offer a wedding package. Typically, a wedding package includes 3 hours, red carpet service and often a champagne toast. Three hours of limo service will cover your transportation to the ceremony, transportation to the photography location, and drop off service at the reception. You may also want to think about transportation home after the reception. The limousine company can schedule a pick up time after the reception without waiting for you during your reception. You will want to book the company at least four to six months before your wedding. If your wedding falls between the months of April through September, you may want to book your transportation even earlier as the more popular wedding months fill up quickly. Keep in mind that during the months of April through June, depending on area, limousine companies also book proms – which may hinder your booking plans. Call several companies in the area and see how responsive they are to your questions and inquiries. It is important that they be responsive and courteous to your requests. While requesting their rates also inquire about including gratuity, cancellation fees, and how overtime rates are charged. Limo companies usually allow a fifteen minute grace period to allow for extra time, however, once you have passed your grace period, overtime may be charged. Ask what the vehicles come with as well, alcohol, music, smoking or non-smoking, refrigeration, and/or food. If possible schedule an appointment to view their fleet of vehicles. Book your limousine with the company that you feel will be on time, have the best vehicle and chauffeur, and has the best price. For most people, price is not as important as service, so do not automatically choose the lowest rate, often in the limousine business, you get what you pay for. When booking, make sure to get a copy of the contract, confirmation / reservation number, as well as their cancellation policy in writing. Confirm with the company if they will be handing the job or if they will be farming out the job to another company. If they plan on farming out the job, (which is a common practice among limousine companies, especially for ‘hot’ booking dates) get the name and address of the company so that you can verify their reliability, car condition and service. If you do not feel comfortable with your wedding transportation handled by another company, tell them so. A week before your wedding, call and confirm your reservation and request a contact number for the driver. Be sure to verify the route and addresses for pick up are correct. The day of the wedding you may also wish to call and confirm that your limousine is scheduled to arrive on time. How To Have Beautiful Skin In 5 Easy Steps

Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Roschelle Nelson If you’re like me, you’re sick of the infommercials that pay these gorgeous celebrities to endorse their “wonder” product. The truth is these people are paid outrageous amounts of money simply to lie to the public about how product “A” made them beautiful. They post before and after pictures detailing the amazing transformation they’ve achieved by using the product. When in actuality most of today’s super stars utilize the most expensive skin care treatments known to man. A leisurely afternoon at the most exclusive dermatologist’s office is usually what makes and keeps today’s celebrities beautiful. Well, I just don’t have that type of cash. So, I started practicing some simple methods to achieve that perfect glow every woman wants. Here are 5 Easy Steps To Beautiful Skin: 1. Wash Your Hands! We often get so caught up in cleansing our faces until we forget that one simple step. Handwashing prior to cleansing your face prevents putting more dirt and bacteria on the face. 2. Watch Your Water Temperature. Use lukewarm or tepid water when cleansing. Hot water tends to dry the skin out over time. On the other hand, if it’s too cold, dirt and bacterial residue can be inadvertently left on the skin’s surface. 3. Twice Is Nice. Unless you’re rolling logs for a living I would advise that you only wash your face twice morning and night. Too much washing can irritate the skin which makes it more prone to bacterial infection and gives you more of an irritated look as opposed to a healthy glow. 4. Know Your Skin Type. When purchasing skin care products make sure you choose the product for your skin type. We generally have 3 skin types: dry, oily or combination. 5. Moisturize…Moisturize…Moisturize! As a woman with naturally oily skin, it was years before I realized that I needed a moisturizer. A moisturizer isn’t designed to make the skin more oily. It rehydrates the skin. Our bodies are made up of quite a bit of water. Keeping the skin moisturized protects against premature wrinkling and those forces of nature we can’t do anything about such as wind, cold weather and those extremely warm months of summer. Whatever skin care regimen you use or are planning to start make sure you’re consistent. Regular exercise and a healthy diet are also great ways to look and feel younger and more beautiful. Typical Rates & Fees Associated with Business Loans

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Williams]John Williams When acquiring a business loan, one can expect to pay different rates and fees based upon the years the business has been in operation, the owners personal credit history, the businesss credit history, and whether or not the loan is secured or unsecured. If the loans are guaranteed, whether or not they are by the government or some other agency can affect the rates as well. Interest Rates are controlled by usury laws. A lender can safely charge a business up to 10% interest per year and not violate any usury laws. Depending on the type of lender you seek, personal or commercial, this may not always hold true. There are different usury laws governing personal lenders and those that are protected by the Federal Government (commercial banks, credit unions, savings and loans). Typical lenders charge between 6-7%, however, as stated earlier; financial security in the business and the owner play an important role in establishing interest rates. Often times commercial banks offer fixed interest rates, but more often than not, the rates are flexible after a given number of years. Government loans are offered to small businesses that meet certain criteria. These loans are offered at the approximate US Treasury note rate of + 1.7% (fixed rate). Other agencies and specially funded business loans offer rates that are decided by special committees. Usually they are lower because these loans are only available to certain business owners. Fees come in different increments based upon the institution you choose to borrow money from. Typical fees include application fees that can run up to $500, although, some institutions and loan companies do not charge any application fee. Closing Costs which usually run within 1-2% of the original amount borrowed. Common commercial loans that are under $500,000 are usually at least 2%. Loans above $500,000 usually have fees ranging from 1.5-1.75%. Other fees that one might encounter when borrowing money for his or her business are: appraisal fees, attorney fees, and environmental assessments. These fees may or may not be included in the closing costs. If not included, these fees may mount up to several thousand dollars. Its important to ask your financial institution which fees are included in the final closing costs. Government loans and loans that are offered through agencies that cater to certain small business owners offer fees that are based upon the project size. Most are usually at least 3%, some agencies charge the exact amount of all filing fees and an additional 1-2% of the original loan amount. Many individuals choose to refinance their residence as means for a business loan. Often times these loans can be acquired much easier than a business only loan. Interest rates are often lower and fixed for longer amounts of time, as well. Fees usually range below 2% and can be included in the loan. Having equity in your home may enable business owners to borrow money with lesser interest rates and fees. However, it is a risky plan. If your payments are not made on-time and in full each month, your home may be sold to cover the loan.
