Tips That Can Make Caring For Orchid Plants Easier

June 22nd, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Diane Crawford Not very many people are willing to even to attempt to grow or care for orchids, as it can be a very daunting task, even for the most skilled gardener. Orchids are very expensive plants to purchase, and since they come from exotic places, can be difficult to care for properly in the more extreme climate of the United States, but it can be done. To really care for your orchids, you have to take the time to learn about them, and their requirements, so that you can provide them with everything they need to grow and be beautiful. You can find a lot of information on the Internet about caring for orchids, or may want to visit your local gardening shop, florists shop, library, or bookstore for even more resources. Once you have read up on caring for orchids plants, you should be ready to try your hand at it. One of the first things you need to do is pay special attention to the type of orchid that you have, so that you can more accurately gauge just how much water and food it needs. Many people are not successful in caring for their orchids because they mistakenly give them too much water, which in some cases, can be even worse than not giving them enough water. Orchids do well in humid environments, but you have to make certain that you don’t overdo it. Some types of orchids need extra water, and their soil should always be a little damp to the touch, such as the Miltonia, Cymbidium, Paphiopedilum, and the Odontoglossum varieties. You should check the soil for moisture daily in these orchids, and add water as needed, remembering to do so a little at a time, so as not to overdo it. Other types of orchids do well and only have to have water about one time each week, and you don’t really have to worry about keeping the soil moist, as they actually do better in drier conditions. If you have Vanda, Ascocenda, or Phalaenopsis orchids, you don’t really have to worry about them as much, at least not when it comes to watering. If you care for other plants, then you know that they require fertilizer to grow properly, and the same is true when it comes to caring for orchid plants. Your best solution when it comes to fertilizing your orchids is to purchase a brand that is designed specifically for orchids, and then make certain that you follow the package directions closely. If you give your orchids too much fertilizer, you could easily damage, or even kill them. Just about all plants require light to grow, and orchids are no exception. To get those full, beautiful blooms, your orchid has to have adequate light. The amount of light that your orchid requires will vary, depending upon the exact type of orchid that you have. Cattleyas and Dendrobiums need more light than any other type, and thrive on it, so if you have these types of orchids, make certain that you have them in an area that gets lots of sunlight throughout the day. Phalaaenopsis and Paphiopedilums do not require as much light, and will do well in almost any area of your home. There are ways to tell if your orchid isn’t getting sufficient light. If you look at the leaves of your orchid, and notice that they are very, very dark green, they probably need more light. If they appear red, of have a reddish tint to them, then you probably are allowing them too much light, and should think of moving them to a better location. If you have a difficult time placing your orchids in a good spot, you can purchase a specially designed light, that can provide them with artificial sunlight, and in fact, many gardeners prefer this type of light, as they are in control of it, and can monitor exactly how much exposure their orchids get each day. If you do a good job in caring for your orchids, they could live for many, many years. As your orchids grow, you will probably need to plan on repotting them about every other year or so. When you repot an orchid, it is important that you don’t do it while the orchid is blooming, as you could possibly kill or damage your plant. It is important that you choose a pot that is large enough to hold the orchid and allow it room to grow, and that before you replant the orchid in a new pot, you carefully remove any dead leaves or roots from the orchid. Once you transplant the orchid into its new pot, you should leave it alone for about a week, and then carry on with your usual water and fertilizer routines. You will find that caring for your orchids really isn’t that difficult, once you learn how to do it properly. Once you have a routine down for providing adequate light, food, and water, your orchid could essentially live as long as you….imagine that! A lot goes into caring for orchid plants. Origin of Collecting

June 19th, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Richard Reeve Collecting goes back several million years and then some. Today we watch grown men on television digging holes in someones back garden and getting extremely excited about a piece of pottery or small adornment that is corroded beyond recognition that a long departed ancestor collected several million years ago. Our television archaeologists call in a mechanical digger to shift several tons of dirt to discover nothing and then explain to the viewer over the next hour exactly what all this means to us today and what our ancestors were like then. Most collectors now that it is not necessary to dig holes in other peoples gardens to find something of value, we have replaced holes with charity shops, junk shops and antique dealers though man appears to have a preoccupations with digging holes and hording, you only have to watch children digging up their parents favourite plants to realise it is a natural instinct and only need look at ourselves to realise collecting tat is inbreed. The signs are refusing to throw anything away and when we do we replace it with something similar that we brought at a bargain price.. There is a point in history that we know little of, did the caveman collect and if he did why? Initially our collecting instinct must have been that of the squirrel or the pack-rat hording food out of necessity and in preparation for a time experience had taught us that it would not be available. Our initial hording instincts may have been food related, the odd horde of nuts, dried fruit and berries and possibly a favourite stone to crack the nuts. As hunter gatherers man would have found it difficult to collect anything large as the energy required in moving it to follow the food would have outweighed its usefulness so whatever the caveman horded would have been lightweight, probably a favourite fur, the teeth form a good kill or a good club. All things we could wear or adorn ourselves with that had some use or link with the past. Then we got religion. Man probably had religion from the moment he set foot on earth, we need religion to explain the unexplainable otherwise we would not be able to cope with life as we move from one disaster to another. Having religion gives us another day or two to cope, religion provides a future, a better world and someone to blame for our ills even if that person is ourselves because we failed to follow a certain ritual that if we follow it in the morning when the sun rises life will get better. Religion needed to be portable, something we could carry as we followed the food from woods to plain, experience taught us to fast when following the food at certain times of the year, we could pray to the sun, moon, stars and wind. Places on our food route could be spiritual, trees set in a certain why to form a natural cathedral or rocks providing the same service. So whatever it was man initially collected had to be portable, could be worn or hung around our neck or attached to our body burning little energy. Perhaps those collections were a few teeth, seashells, small bones an unusual stone or piece of ore that linked us to better days, displayed our wealth and indicated to others we met that we were good hunters and providers, our display driving interlopers away without a fight or attracting new members to our clan and increasing the gene pool. At some stage during our evolution we discovered animal husbandry and farming, built elaborate shelters and settled down, then we discovered smelting and began make metal objects. Our religion became static so we made effigies we could place in our homes to protect us against evil spirits. As a community and humans we needed to maintain our links with the past so we appointed a community historian who collated and retained our history speaking it often to the people of our clan. Like the wheel no one is quiet sure who invented it and exactly when but the most important invention for collectors came about. It was an invention that created new industries, artists, the printing press, the retail industry, the junk shop, antiques markets, spirit level and possibly even the motorcar and certainly the flat pack industry, out of town shopping malls and Ikea, such a momentous invention was never recorded in history or attributed to one man it was the shelf. Of course before he invented the shelf he invented houses with square walls. Man in his infinite wisdom had created something he would regret for the rest of his and his male offsprings life, something he would be nagged about for several millennium, told that it was not level or secure. The woman of the man that first put up the shelf sat for days looking at it and wondered what her stupid man had invented, what use was it? After several days she realised he had only created something to gather dust and create more work so she placed a load of junk on it that someone had given her and forgot about it. Perhaps it was at the gods next celebration when the woman of the house invited neighbours round to exchange gifts and share food that the wives of the visiting men noticed the cheap gifts they had exchange the previous year had been given a place of prominence in the host home and felt out done. Arriving home after a night on the mead and a good meal the mens wives began nagging their husbands to build a shelf and why had they not thought of it first, their husbands did not love them as much as so and so loved his wife. The berated men called on their friend, the man they knew as Chris the Master of his tribe, the man who had invented the shelf and explained that their wives were carping on about his new invention and offered him several dozen sea shells and selected stones to enter their homes and build shelves. After several years of building shelves for his friends and family Chris the Master of his tribe was invited to distant villages to build shelves. To cope with the work he trained his male children and tribes children to build shelves and became known as Chris The Man you ask to enter your home to stop carping wives. This was soon shortened to Chris the Carp-enter and then Chris the Carpenter and the wives in celebration and in remembrance of his original name named a feast day after Chris the Master of his tribe that was soon shortened to Chris t Mas a day you invite your friends round to eat and exchange gifts for your shelf. That small invention lead to the creation of the bookcase, the display cabinet, the dresser and even the wardrobe and so man became a collector and invented more and more products to store his collections that probably lead to the invention of the stamp and then the postcard. I have been selling antiques and collectables online since 1999 having taken early retirement from working in the merchant banking industry. I had been collecting antique silver for several years, silver being my first love. My second loves is a tossup between books and postcards and have provided advice on postcards to several TV collecting programmes and have also written several articles on collecting and business banking for national newspapers. I am also asked by local auction houses to research unusual ceramics and marks. My website sells almost anything that is collectable, regrettably, there is insufficient time in the day to upload all the items I buy and could also be accused of hording as my home is also full of the junk I buy and many of the mistakes. http://www.collectable-postcards.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Richard_Reeve http://EzineArticles.com/?Origin-of-Collecting&id=447909 legitimate hard money lenders hard money lenders in tn how much shall i withhold on my paycheck boat no credit check austin texas

Defenders of the Faith: A Critique of Classical Apologetics

June 15th, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Saundra L. Washington Classical Apologetics is an approach to apologetics based upon attempted deductive demonstrations of Gods existence and character and includes such exemplars as Plato, Aquinas, the early Augustine, Geisler, and Sproul. Classical apologetics which, according to my understanding, attempts to prove the existence of God through deductive arguments. The primary reason I consider this approach virtually ineffective is because I do not believe Gods existence can be irrefutably proven through the utilization of logical and rational arguments. Mans reasoning ability is too restricted. Human ingenuity cannot reach so high as to logically and theoretically prove, without the inkling of a doubt, the existence of God. The problem with the various arguments, whether it be the cosmological (God as efficient cause) or the teleological (God as final cause), or any other form, in the great final analysis God is not proven or necessarily indicated. The objections of atheists or other non-believers and critics to these arguments are very succinct, detailed, and not easily ignored. For example, suppose the opposition responds to the cosmological argument for Gods existence in the following manner: Why does the uncaused cause have to be God? If there must be a first uncaused cause, what proof is there that it is God? It may just as well be the world, or an “existence” but not necessarily God as the Christian conceive of Him. Who can argue that the opposition makes a valid point? Even if we think in terms of the world as being in the process of decaying (second law of thermodynamics), it fails to prove absolutely that the world was not always in existence. The second Law implies that if the present deterioration continues, the universe will subsequently die. But non-believers may consider the word IF to be of vital importance for their argument that the world has always existed. Suppose the deterioration process discontinues? Suppose it slowly begins a process of reparation? If the world was always in existence, and man having not always been in existence and therefore incapable of observing space and time immemorial, is it not possible to conceive of a vicissitudinous world; that is, a world that experiences phases of deterioration and reparation? Of course, to think this way a person would certainly have to believe in the idea of a self created universe. And even though this notion may repulse the Christian, the inevitable question the non-Christian may legitimately pose is: Is the notion of a self created world any more absurd or irrational than the idea of a self created God? Apologists who utilize this approach to defending the faith are seemingly, on an argumentative treadmill; constantly moving but going nowhere. If someone asserts the belief that no God exists, his claim cannot be positively refuted. I cannot conceive of any rational possibility for a strict proof or an adequate demonstration of God which could prevail over and against such an assertion. There just isnt any absolute, or to borrow from Kant, purely rational way to prove Gods existence that will pass universal inspection and carry universal conviction. Therefore, classical apologetics, in my estimation, fails to deduce God by theoretical reasoning. It neglects to assure with infallible certainty the existence of God. Consequently, it falls short as an effective method of clarifying and defending the Christian truth. The bottom line: credo ut intelligam. Rev. Saundra L. How To Reduce Weight Fast And Lose Fat Forever - Fast Weight Reduction Tip

June 7th, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Chris Chew So you have tried dieting to reduce weight. You have also popped all kinds of weight reduction pills you can get your hands on. To your delight your effort seemed to work as you begin to lose body fat steadily. Then one day, before you reach your desired weight, you begin to notice that your weight seemed to stay the same even though you are still on the diet and popping those pills. To your horror, you discover that the weight you had lost is beginning to pile up once again. Instead of reducing weight, you are now gaining weight. Sounds familiar? What happened? Simply put, slimming pills and fad diets are only short term strategy to reduce weight and keeping body fat at bay. To reduce weight and lose fat forever, your caloric expenditure must surpass your caloric consumption. Arent you doing that in your diet? Yes you are. But when you are on a diet, you go hungry and your body will signal to your brain to conserve fat for energy because your body is built with a mechanism to conserve fat during famine and it will not know whether it is famine season or that you are on a diet. In this instance, your body will consume your muscle for energy instead of your body fat and this spells trouble because your muscle is a great calorie gobbler. So with less muscle, your fat burning capability grinds to a screeching halt. What about those weight reducing pills you are taking? If you are popping appetite control pills, your body will react like you are on a diet, so the same thing happened. What about pills that help to increase metabolism or reducing starch intake? Sure, they will help to burn a few calories or restrict some calories from turning into body fat, but are enough calories burnt or restricted to reduce weight permanently or are you going to take those unhealthy weight reduction pills forever? Obviously not, isnt it? So to reduce weight and lose fat forever, we need to do 3 things. Cardio exercises Do cardio exercises at 65-85% of your maximum heart rate to burn tons of calories Lift weight Train with weights to grow muscle or at least prevent muscle loss. The more muscle you have, the higher will be your natural fat burning capability. You will burn fat even when sleeping. In other words, you lose fat permanently. Eat small frequent meals This will signal to your brain that food is in abundance and that your body need not conserve fat in case of famine. So eat 5- 6 meals at 3 hourly intervals. However, do make sure that your meals are small and that your caloric intake do not surpass your caloric expenditure. When you incorporate these 3 elements into your lifestyle, you will not only reduce weight and lose body fat, you will also keep the weight from creeping back. That means, you will reduce weight and able to maintain your ideal weight forever. Weight Loss Diet Reviews

June 1st, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Dr. Edward F. Group, III Here’s a look at some of the most common diets people are using. The Atkins Diet The Atkins diet is based on high protein, low-carbohydrate fare. It allows all of the meat and vegetables you want with no restrictions on fats. Fruits are kept to a minimum. Bread, pasta, and other grain products are restricted. Many people have had weight loss success on the Atkins Diet because it offers many delicious food options. However, it can be high in fat, possible harmful over long periods of time and low in fiber and calcium. The Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet This is another reduced carbohydrate diet that allows meats, dairy, vegetables, fruits, and grain products, but restricts all other carbohydrates. It tends to be quite high in fat and saturated fat. The Choose to Lose Diet This is a low fat diet that allows you to eat from all of the major food groups. You are only restricted by a “fat budget” that you choose how to spend. Carbohydrates are allowed, as well as lean meat, poultry, seafood, fruits, vegetables, bread and pasta. The Choose to Lose Diet allows an ample amount of fruits and vegetables and it is low in saturated fat and it provides a fairly healthy eating plan for fast weight loss. The DASH Diet The DASH diet allows for a high carbohydrate intake, with moderate amounts of fat and protein. It was originally designed as a low-pressure diet. The DASH diet follows the principles of the Food Pyramid, but it suggests more servings of fruits and vegetables (up to nine daily,) and more dairy servings (two to three daily servings of low fat or nonfat dairy.) The DASH diet may require too much food for most people to see weight loss results. The Eat More Weigh Less Diet This diet is an extremely low-fat diet that focuses on vegetarian fare. It allows fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, egg whites, and some nonfat dairy products. This is a very restricted diet that limits even healthy foods like lean organic meats, poultry, and low-fat dairy products. This diet is great for vegetarians, but it is low in calcium, and it may be too difficult for most people to follow long enough to see weight loss results. The Eat Right For Your Blood Type Diet This diet plan bases you food choices on your blood type. For example, those with Type O blood follow an eating plan that includes lots of meat. Some of the “blood type” diets in this plan are too restricted in calories and they may be poor in nutritional balance. Little proof is offered on basis of the diet, that blood type should affect dietary choices. The Pritkin Principle Diet This diet focuses on restricting calories and eating more “watery” foods that fill you up quicker. (It follows the same principle that suggests you should drink a full glass of water before each meal to make your stomach feel full faster. It allows fruits, vegetables, pasta, oatmeal, soups, salads, and low-fat dairy, but limits protein sources to lean meats, poultry and seafood. This is a low-fat diet that offers plenty of fruits and vegetables, but it can be low in calcium. The Protein Power Diet This is a very high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet. It allows for lots of meats and fats but limits that consumption of fruits and vegetables. This is a very restrictive diet that limits healthy foods like whole grains and beans. It is very high in fat, especially saturated fat and it is very low in calcium. Power Busters This is a low-carbohydrate diet that is high in fat and protein. Fruits and grain products are forbidden, but high-fat meats and dairy products are allowed. Like many other low-carb diets, the Power Busters diet is high in fat, high in saturated fat, and low in calcium. The Slimirex Diet I highly recommend the Slimirex diet. I’ve found use of weight loss product Slimirex combined with moderate exercise at least three times per week and a moderate diet to be an effective method of losting the weight you want. Volumetrics The Volumetrics diet is a restricted calorie diet that allows fruits, vegetables, pasta, oatmeal, soups, salads, lean meats, poultry, seafood and dairy. High fat food and “dry” foods like crackers, pretzels, and popcorn are restricted. It is low in saturated fat and provides an ample amount of fruits and vegetables.. Weight Watchers This diet does not restrict followers to a set meal plan. Dieters are able to plan their own diet every day following a point system that allows the dieter to spend a certain “allowance” in each category. This diet allows moderate fat and protein intake and high carbohydrate consumption. Generally, vegetables and whole grain products have the lowest point value and high fat foods “cost” the most amount of points. The Zone Diet This diet is moderately high in protein and low in carbohydrates. It allows low fat foods like chicken and fish and plenty of fruits and vegetables. But whole grains are restricted. This is a healthy eating plan, although it is low in calcium. Out of all these diets, I personally recommend taking Slimirex and following the Bio-Rhythm Diet Plan outlined in the Weight Loss Secrets Revealed E-book at www.weightlossobesity.com website. Dr. Edward F. Group III, D.C., Ph.D. is an internationally recognized weight loss and natural health expert and the President of Houston-based Global Healing Center. Secrets of Trade Show Success

May 29th, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Tim Warren The ropers at Annie Oakley’s Real Western Dudette Ranch were all riding high in the saddle. It was just before their first travel trade show in Chicago, and they just knew they would rope in big sales. Annie and her all-woman cowpoke staff were confident thousands of American working women were just itchin to pay $1995 or more to learn the fine art of cattle roping and bronco busting. Annie sent her two best cowgirls; figurin if they could handle cattle, they could sure rustle up some sales. The cowgirls brought to the show a couple of hay bales, a big sign with genuine spurs dangling from it, a table clear across the front of their booth loaded with hundreds of small snapshots of the cowpokes in action, a four-page story Annie had hand wrote to give out. They wore their most trail-worn chaps and their fanciest boots. Dang! Three days later, Annie’s seasoned cowgirls left the show more tired then after three-week cattle drive, ornery with their throats as dry as dust. They had only four leads, and had made no sales. Annie was as irritated as a stepped-on rattler; she had spent over $5,000. and was sure it was the show promoter’s fault her cowgirls were not more successful. Proper Trade show Strategies Yield More Leads & Sales Annie is fictional, but the way she fell out of the saddle is not much different than dozens of businesses I observe, and even some I have consulted to. I don’t let the ones under my reins keep going down the desert trail that Annie followed. You can end up more like this fictional company… Tropical Bill’s Eco-Amazon Windsurfing tours had not lost any clients to Piranha during the first months of operation, and they were ready to expand his small tour business through travel trade shows. Bill and his staffs goals at their first show were to raise broad awareness for their unique trips to consumers as well as secure travel agent representation. An expert windsurfer, Tropical Bill had little experience with promotion, sales and trade shows and knew that, like windsurfing, it was a learned experience. He admitted his ignorance and assumed what I call beginners mind. Heres what Bill and his team did to improve their trade show results: He sought out as much advice and information as he could. Visited other tourism trade shows. Took a workshop on trade show marketing and read all he could on the subject. His team created a solid plan on how to achieve their specific goals. They called and sent out several mailings of personalized cards and letters to key prospects before the show offering a show special. They invested in a quality exhibit with easy-to-read graphics and bold benefit-oriented marketing communications. Learned how-to create a powerful travel trade show booth thatgrabbed prospects attention and sell more by reading “Tourism Marketing Success”See link below in Authors Resource Box: Bill role-played and practiced boothmanship with his most knowledgeable and motivated team of four that were staffing the booth at scheduled intervals. Show management was excited about Tropical Bills Windsurfing Simulator and gave them excellent floor placement. A follow-up sales letter was pre-printed and sent from the office to key prospects immediately with several new color brochures. The preparation, booth, staff activities, offers and prospect follow-up were all well executed. Tropical Bill implemented many other strategies all covered in this article, raised the flag to their existence, made numerous bookings, established promising relationships with many travel agents, signed up for representation by two large adventure travel wholesalers, and even generated interest for a editorial story Outside Magazine. Unlike Annie Oakleys’ Dudette Ranch, Tropical Bills Windsurfing company was now on the map, generating some cash flow and filling its sails with some powerful promotional winds. Bill could hardly wait for their next show opportunity. Annie was last seen commiserating around the campfire with her cowpokes. Both outfitters knew that attendees at travel trade shows were their best markets. Both hoped to have some sales during the show and create awareness for future bookings. Clearly different attitudes and strategies yield different returns on investment. “Beginners mind,” planning, research, goals, and specific strategies make for happy trails and high wind days. Don’t reinvent the wheel. The resources you need, like the Texas Rangers, are awaiting your request for assistance. Show management and trade organizations are there to help with your success. This show, like many others, will be both an industry trade show filled with travel agents and media as well as motivated consumers of travel related products and services. Trade shows are abundant fishing grounds; you just need the right equipment, training and bait. 4 Strategies for Maximizing Trade Show Exhibiting Results 1. Have a team-created plan. Unity provides more sales. Incorporate your most knowledgeable and motivated staff from start to finish. When the staff and owners share the same vision and agenda, achieving your goals will be far easier. 2. Do pre-show mailings and phone invitations can triple attendance. David Garfinkel and Jay Conrad Levinson in the soon to be released book, “Guerrilla Direct-Mail Marketing” suggest to use multiple personalized invitations promoting special offers redeemable only at your booth. 3. Arrive a couple days before show. Tap into guaranteed opportunity. There are unmatched opportunities to meet with media, establish sales representation, and network with fellow travel business people. Share what has worked for you and help others. When the show starts you’ll be better prepared and rested then most. 4. Taking care of yourself will yield better results. Schedule your staff so that everyone is smiling and well rested. Drink plenty of water. Eat well-balanced meals for higher energy. Avoid alcohol at all times during show. Wear comfortable shoes. Stretch your muscles while checking out other exhibits. Cheap Natural Solutions For Dry Skin

May 18th, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Helen Hecker Xeroderma, the medical name for dry skin, occurs most commonly on the lower legs, arms, the sides of the abdomen and thighs and is a very common condition. The use of natural or synthetic cosmetics to cover the appearance of the face and condition of the skin, like pore control and blackhead covering, is common among many cultures. The dermis is the layer of skin beneath the epidermis that consists of connective tissue and cushions the body from stress and strain. The dermis is structurally divided into two areas: a superficial area adjacent to the epidermis, called the papillary region, and a deep thicker area known as the reticular region. The average square inch of skin holds 650 sweat glands, 20 blood vessels, 60,000 melanocytes, and more than a thousand nerve endings. Environmental factors, such as exposure to sun, wind, cold, chemicals, or cosmetics, or excessive bathing with harsh soaps, can cause dry skin. If you break out on the skin around your eyes, it could be the shellac in your mascara; buy a shellac-free mascara like Ecco Bella’s. Forced-air furnaces may make skin even drier than it already is. When the skin loses moisture it may crack and peel, or become irritated and inflamed. Certain drugs, including diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines, can contribute to dry skin conditions; check with your pharmacist or doctor and read the drug insert - you can get one from your pharmacist. Dry skin can be caused by a deficiency of vitamin A, systemic illness, overexposure to sunlight or some medications. Eat high-fiber snacks like raw nuts, raw seeds, fresh fruit or dried fruit like dates, and figs. For an easy fiber boost, to help your skin, add one to two tablespoons of ground up flaxseeds to two or three apples and mix in your food processor. Eating foods high in omega-3’s are particularly important to people with dry skin or acne. Only use mild cleansers or mild soaps if you must use a soap or cleanser. Dry and pat your skin gently and thoroughly after a bath or shower if it’s extremely dry or irritated. Avoid all products that have an alcohol base. Use a thin layer of coconut oil under your make-up, if you wear it, to moisturize and soften your skin throughout the day. Use can use bath oils and moisturizers every day, but coconut oil has the added power of healing. To see what coconut oil can do for your skin fast, apply coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime. Use coconut oil to remove your make-up at night, like I do; it leaves a fine layer of oil to nourish your skin all night long; but better yet, apply more coconut oil. I buy coconut oil by the gallon; it’s cheaper for a whole gallon of coconut oil than a small jar of department store, name-brand moisturizer. Skin that’s not clean favors the development of pathogenic organisms; the dead cells continually slough off of the epidermis and mix with the secretions of the sweat and sebaceous glands and the dust found on the skin, to form a layer on its surface. The skin is subject to constant attack from without; it can be affected by many conditions, diseases and ailments. You should see the results with improved skin within a few days following these dry skin tips and suggestions. See your doctor or naturopathic doctor if your skin doesn’t improve in spite of your best efforts. If your dry skin lasts for a long time and is itchy or feels hot when you touch it, see your doctor. Bachelorette Wild Thing Bridal Party

May 9th, 2008 by bertinaapplebaum

By Gail Leino A bachelorette party is a relatively new celebration similar to a bridal shower. The groom-to-be isnt the only one allowed to have a last stand party celebrating the end of his freedom. Girls get in on the action now with their own bachelorette parties. When planning a bachelorette party, consult a party planning specialist from a party supply store. They will have motifs to choose from if you want clean or naughty themed decorations. Clean decorations can include brides and bride apparel, or any theme such as a luau or western party. Naughty parties have decorations shaped like male genitalia! No matter what your theme is, send out invitations. Make them coordinate with any other decorations you buy. Balloons and streamers in any color, as well as paper products are available at a party supply store. If you are having a night out at the bar, they carry novelty items to take along. A blow up, life sized doll can be attached to the bride via handcuffs. She can wear a fake veil or a T-shirt begging for help. If you are having a tame party, plan a meal and games. Order in pizza and watch porno movies. Make it a combination naughty and nice party. Either party requires intimate gifts for the bride. Lingerie, lotions and robes are all fun gifts to give, as well as receive, at a bachelorette party. Take pictures of the bride-to-be trying on her duds to send to the groom-to-be. That qualifies as naughty too. A stripper might show up, so dont be shocked. If elderly women are present, prevent them from having strokes! Or they might surprise the young ladies with a thing or two. Send out thank you cards and a picture of the whole gang at the party. Its a great way to remember the night! Mrs. Party… Gail Leino is the internet’s leading authority on selecting the best possible party supplies, using proper etiquette and manners while also teaching organizational skills and fun facts. The Party Supplies Hut has Bachelorette Party Supplies, ideas, pinatas, games, costumes, decorations, and activities.
